Стела света в Мехико: прозрачность, затемнение и разделение видимого в современном мексиканском паблик-арте
Аннотация
В начале XX века ключевым понятием в мексиканской политике стала «прозрачность» – многие усматривали в ней высший идеал, в то время как политическая жизнь шла по пессимистичному и насильственному сценарию. Принято считать, что прозрачность была стержнем демократического процесса, который начался после того, как одна и та же партия находилась у власти семьдесят один год, и сопровождался реорганизацией государства и общества по неолиберальной модели. Сегодня же прямая связь между прозрачностью и демократией затрудняется становлением так называемого общества слежки, при котором государство и частные корпорации могут вторгаться в большинство сфер публичной и приватной жизни. Прозрачность в таком контексте может вести к стремительной девальвации прав на личную тайну, чуждость и инаковость, чему способствует внешне добровольное включение людей в мир цифровых технологий. В данной статье рассматривается одно из самых заметных воплощений идеала прозрачности в городской среде современной Мексики – Стела света в Мехико. Изучение краткой культурной истории этого явления, а также развернувшихся вокруг него дебатов позволяет не только выявить контекст недоверия, пробудившего безудержное желание большей политической открытости, но и интенсивность, с которой активисты и общественные организации стали добиваться открытости от государства. Паблик-арт превращается в важную платформу для взаимодействия и высказывания конкурирующих мнений о том, что может быть скрыто за «непосредственными» политическими истинами.
